Terms of Service
EFFECTIVE DATE: May 1, 2023 · WHATABOUTWIKI.COM
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before engaging What About Wiki for any services. By signing a service agreement or submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
Services
What About Wiki ("Company," "we," "us") provides Wikipedia page creation, editing, reputation management, press placement, and related services to clients ("Client," "you") pursuant to individual written service agreements. These Terms of Service govern all engagements and are incorporated by reference into any service agreement entered into with What About Wiki.
Deposit & Payment Terms
All engagements require a deposit as specified in the applicable service agreement. The deposit is due upon signing of the service agreement unless otherwise stated in writing.
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT POLICY
All deposits paid to What About Wiki are strictly non-refundable. By remitting a deposit, the Client acknowledges that What About Wiki will immediately begin allocating resources, scheduling, and preparing for the engagement. The deposit compensates the Company for this reservation of capacity regardless of whether the Client elects to proceed with the project.
If a Client fails to remit the deposit within the timeframe specified in the service agreement, the full deposit amount remains owed to What About Wiki as compensation for the project slot held on its schedule.
Subsequent payments are due as outlined in the applicable service agreement. Late payments may result in a pause of services until the outstanding balance is resolved.
Cancellation & Early Termination
Either party may terminate a service agreement by providing written notice. However, the following payment obligations survive any cancellation or termination:
CANCELLATION FEE
If the Client cancels or elects not to proceed with the engagement for any reason — including internal organizational decisions, changes in direction, personnel changes, or dissatisfaction with terms
previously agreed to — the deposit specified in the service agreement is forfeited in full and is non-refundable. No refund of any deposit will be issued upon cancellation, regardless of the stage of the project at the time of cancellation.
If cancellation occurs after the second payment has been made, no refund of the second payment will be issued unless What About Wiki has materially failed to deliver the first draft as outlined in the agreement.
If What About Wiki cancels the engagement without cause, any deposit received will be refunded in full within 14 business days.
Authority to Enter Agreement
By signing a service agreement with What About Wiki, the individual signing represents and warrants that they have full legal authority to bind the organization on whose behalf they are signing. What About Wiki is entitled to rely on the signature of any individual representing themselves as authorized to execute agreements on behalf of a company or organization.
Internal organizational disputes, lack of approval from leadership, or changes in personnel do not constitute a valid basis for non-payment or cancellation without penalty. The Client bears full responsibility for ensuring that any agreement signed on its behalf is properly authorized.
Refund Policy
What About Wiki offers a full refund only in the following circumstance:
the Wikipedia article is not approved or does not remain live within 12 months of submission, as specified in the applicable service agreement.
Outside of this guarantee, all payments made are non-refundable.
Goodwill adjustments or partial credits may be offered at the sole discretion of What About Wiki and do not constitute a waiver of any rights under these Terms or the applicable service agreement.
Representations & Warranties
The Client represents that all information provided to What About Wiki in connection with the engagement is accurate, truthful, and does not violate the intellectual property rights of any third party. What About Wiki is not responsible for content submitted by the Client that is inaccurate or that violates Wikipedia's editorial guidelines.
Limitation of Liability
What About Wiki's liability in connection with any engagement is limited to the total fees paid by the Client for the specific project at issue. In no event shall What About Wiki be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service and all service agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the State of Wyoming.
Prior to initiating any legal proceeding, both parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve disputes through direct written communication.
Amendments
What About Wiki reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The version in effect at the time a service agreement is signed governs that engagement. Updated terms will be published at whataboutwiki.com and noted with a revised effective date.
